  About Online Donations: e-Contributions

From our liturgical programs to our youth ministries to feeding the hungry, it is YOUR contributions that are essential to supporting the many important ministries and community programs that make Mission Dolores the special place it is.

Your contributions are equally important in preserving and improving the infrastructure of Mission Dolores, including the historic buildings and grounds. The Mission Dolores community thanks you for your continued support and generosity.

Our trusted partner, J.S. Paluch Co., has assisted Mission Dolores with publishing our bulletin for years. With their expertise, we are now accepting regular and special contributions via the internet. This service, offered through e-Paluch is called e-Contributions.

e-Contributions has been fully reviewed and vetted by the SF Archdiocese for security, privacy, and reliability and is already utilized by many other SF parishes.

You can use your credit card or checking account debit to:

Contribute safely, simply & automatically
• Benefit from credit card rewards
• Save time writing checks
View or print contribution reports at any time

e-Contributions is ideal for your regular weekly contributions as well as for special collections and funds.

Mission Dolores benefits from e-Contributions because administrative costs are greatly reduced. There's no need to process donations, key transactions, or print envelopes and statements. With everyone who uses e-Contributions to donate, Mission Dolores saves time and money each year.

How Much Should I Give?

This is ultimately a decision you need to make for yourself. Remember that your giving supports the costs of running a large Parish like Mission Dolores not only for today but for the future. In addition to ministerial and liturgical costs, Mission Dolores must pay the same bills we all face in our daily lives: utilities, paychecks, health insurance, and repairs, to name a few.

We are asked to give back to the Lord in gratitude a portion of everything God has given. In many ways the tithe is a sacrifice, a donation that seems almost more than affordable, an offering that “makes holy” (the literal meaning of the word “sacrifice”) all the efforts and earnings of the past month.

Consider the Biblical norm of tithing in determining the amount of your sacrificial gift. The Biblical norm was 10%  of one's income - in fact, the word "tithe" originally meant "ten percent."

The "tithe," however, is only a barometer or guideline to help determine one's sacrificial giving. Some can and should offer more than a 10% tithe; others may have circumstances that warrant them paying less than a 10% tithe.

Annual Income 5% Weekly Contribution 10% Weekly Contribution
$25,000 $24 $48
$35,000 $34 $67
$45,000 $43 $86
...and so on
